Using the PowerPoint below, read the story ‘Back to Earth with a Bump’ to your child. Click on the ‘Back to Earth with a Bump Talk Cards’ and encourage your child to answer the questions from the story about Hal and his adventure. You can find the answers to the questions on the last two sheets of the document. Please go over these with your child.
(Due to the large file sizes of the PowerPoints, we have had to split the story into two parts.)
Tuesday 2nd June 2020
Revisit and read the story ‘Back to Earth with a Bump’ with your child. Explain to them that today they are going to imagine they are Hal and write a postcard home to tell their family all about their adventure.
Show your child the 'All About Postcards' PowerPoint below.
Ideas to include in your postcard:
Where you have been;
What you have seen;
When you will be coming home.
Find out your address and write it on the lines on the right side of your postcard. Can you design your own stamp? Draw a picture of what you have seen during your space adventure on the back of your postcard.
