Understanding the concept of doubling lesson:
To find the double of a number, we add the same number to itself. For example, double of 2 is 2 + 2 = 4. One way to introduce doubling to your child is to use a mirror. Place a small mirror in front of them or place it on a table facing them and ask them to hold up one finger. Seeing the reflection of their finger in the mirror will instantly demonstrate how to double 1. They would continue using this method of holding up fingers until they double up to five. They could then later explore doubles by placing different objects in front of the mirror and counting them.
