Family Learning sessions are available for Early Years, Year 1 and Year 2 parents . Babies and toddlers are welcome to come too! These sessions are run by Mrs Bhanderi. This year, they were held in the Spring Term for families to attend for four weeks. 21 parents attended. Sessions focus on lots of ideas and activities for parents to support children at home related to Early Literacy and Numeracy skills.

Family Learning Week 2 March 2016
We looked at different types of dinosaurs. Some of their names were quite tricky to pronounce. We looked at dinosaur books to find out some information about them and made our own dinosaur fact book. It was great fun making moving dinosaurs too!
Family Learning Week 3 March 2017
This week we read the story Monkey Puzzle. The story was about a baby monkey who had lost his mummy and met lots of animals whilst trying to find her. We read the story together. Learnt different ways to help us retell the story to our family and friends. Finally we made our own monkey using our handprints.

Who would have known that spiders love numbers! We read the story Spinderella and talked about different ways we can count and learn about numbers. We made spiders and checked to make sure they had 8 colourful legs.
