Meet our Board of Governors
Jaya Gajparia - Chair
Dr Jaya Gajparia is an interdisciplinary social scientist with a longstanding commitment to social justice, inclusion, and sustainability. As Chair of Governors at Uxendon Manor Primary School, she brings extensive experience in education, community engagement, and strategic leadership, with a strong focus on equity and opportunity for all children.
Jaya began her career in the third sector, working with communities affected by poverty, racism, and exclusion, an experience that continues to shape her inclusive and values-driven approach. She has held senior academic roles, including Associate Professor and Head of Social Sciences at London South Bank University, and has taught in higher education institutions internationally.
She now works as an independent advisor and consultant across several institutions, including The British Academy, the University of Exeter, the University of Nottingham, London South Bank University, and the University of West London. As an ACCESS Leadership Fellow and Senior Research Fellow she contributes to advancing equity, inclusion, and leadership development in environmental and sustainability research. Her areas of expertise include gender justice, migration and belonging, education for sustainable development, and just climate transitions. Jaya’s work is grounded in decolonial and feminist methodologies, and her leadership is shaped by a strong commitment to accountability, collaboration, and transformative change.
As Chair of Governors, Jaya is committed to ensuring the school maintains a safe, inclusive, and inspiring environment. She works collaboratively with school leaders, staff, and families to provide effective strategic oversight, with the aim that every child can thrive and build the knowledge and confidence to navigate a complex and evolving world.
Yogesh Mundada - Co-opted Governor
Yogesh Mundada is an experienced finance and technology professional with over 20 years of expertise in strategic planning, financial oversight, and information technology. He brings strong analytical skills, risk awareness, and a structured approach to governance and decision-making. He believes that high-quality education plays a critical role in enabling children to realise their potential. Having worked across multiple global banks, he is keen to leverage his experience to contribute effectively to school governance.
