Attendance
We expect at least 96% attendance at Uxendon Manor.
By being in school on time, every day, your child is being taught the essential life skills and good habits for their future as adults who go to work.
This requires a strong partnership between home and school.
We have an expectation that once we have notified a parent about our concerns, they will ensure that their child’s attendance improves significantly. If a pupil continues to have poor attendance, we will discuss this with our link Education Welfare Officer, and if necessary make a referral to Brent Education Welfare Service.
A Parent/Carer should report a student absence by 8am EACH AND everyday that the child is not in school.

Student Leave Of Absence
Parents/Carers are strongly discouraged from taking their children out of school for long periods of time. Family holidays or trips abroad must be taken in the school holidays. The Headteacher can only authorise absence, in exceptional circumstances. In such cases, parents should submit a 'Student Leave Request Form' in advance and only make bookings if leave is granted. Whether to grant leave is at the discretion of the Headteacher. There is no right for a parent to appeal a decision.
