Year 4 MTC
The multiplication tables check (MTC) became statutory for all state-funded primary schools since the 2021/22 academic year. The Year 4 MTC test will take place within a 3 week window from Monday 3rd June 2024.
The purpose of the MTC is to determine whether pupils can recall their times tables up to 12 fluently.
The MTC will be done using a computer. Pupils will have 25 questions, with 6 seconds to answer each question.
