STEM Competitions

Primary Engineers Leaders Award Competition: 'If you were an engineer what would you do?'

A competition for children in many regions across the UK (One winner per region).  This competition involves: Creative problem solving, meeting and interviewing engineers, identifying a problem and drawing a solution to it and writing a persuasive letter to an engineer explaining why it should be built.  Every entry is read by an engineering professional and given a grade Pass, Merit, Distinction or Shortlisted. Each entry receives a certificate with the pupil name and grade on it.  There are thousands of entries from all over the UK.

This year 2024 Our young Uxendon Manor engineers really did 'roll up their sleeves' to think creatively when designing their inventions.

Our results:

- 4 children received a 'Pass' grading.

- 17 children received a 'Merit' grading

- 5 children received a ' Distinction' grading and

- 4 children were shortlisted into the final!

We are super proud of these children and their achievements! CONGRATULATIONS to our budding ENGINEERS!
