Our Vision for Music

At Uxendon Manor, our vision is to maintain high standards of music-making, foster children’s love of music and develop their confidence as musicians and performers. Our music lessons from Nursery to Year 6 are taught by specialist music teachers from Brent Music Service as part of a partnership with class teachers. This integral relationship is important to us as it means the children embed their learning throughout the week and develop their musical skills including vocal, rhythmic, instrumental, listening, composing and performing. At Uxendon Manor, music is a key part of wider school life and children regularly showcase their learning in assemblies, phase concerts, end of term performances as well as representing the school at events and competitions within the local community.
